Our grandmothers had to grind their sesame seeds with a mortar and pestle. We mill our sesame seeds in 20 seconds. There is no reason to buy a store bought tahini paste when we can make our own in a thermo mixer.
Tahini paste is used to make dips such as hummus and tachinosalata (tahini dip).
The full recipe for tahini paste is exclusively featured in our cookbook MEZZE. For that reason, the quantities and steps are not listed in this blog post. However we have provided a list of ingredients to help you with your shopping list and meal planning (especially helpful if you use the paprika recipe app) and also some Thermomix cooking tips.
Here is a list of ingredients you will need to make this recipe.
- Sesame seeds
- Olive oil
