A List Of Homemade Christmas Food Ideas You Can Make With Your Thermomix
Christmas is just around the corner and I'm busy preparing my lists of what to make for the day. There are so many things we traditionally make for this day but it always varies. This usually depends on how many people we have coming on the day, if we are just taking things to other people's houses or if it will be at my own house.
I find it hard to choose just a few things to make in my Thermomix for this day, and any other celebration I must admit! But I thought this guide of what I am going to make this year might help you as well.
Entree and Starter For Christmas
Main Meals For Christmas Lunch or Dinner
For the meals on the day we will prepare my Yiayia's famous pastitsio (Greek Lasagne) with the thickest creamiest bechamel sauce around. We will marinade all our meats for the souvla (coals), I've prepared sheftalia, pita with halloumi, loukanika (cypriot sausages) recipe of this one for another day!

Drinks To Have For Christmas
Of course there will be plenty of seafood, fruit and other non Thermomix things made as well I'm sure.
How to get the kids involved:
One last tip for the day, it can be fun to get the kids involved by making some of these things up and getting the kids to assemble them on the day as an activity. It will keep them entertained and its just another treat they will be able to enjoy. A few I like to make up is the Gingerbread Biscuits by Thermomix in Australia – featured on the Thermomix Recipe Community. Or try this homemade play dough recipe. I also love to make all the different elements of the trifle but let the kids assemble their own on the day.
