If you are looking for a natural DIY leave in conditioner to help detangle matted hair then you have found it. This is my homemade hair detangler with essential oils recipe I use to help keep my girls hair from getting matted.

It's a sure way to get the knots out as painlessly as possible. I know this because I have a very sensory child and this has been the only method to date that has worked for us.
Essential Oil Hair Detangler Spray Recipe

- 30ml spray bottle
- 1 pump of dōTERRA Salon Essentials smoothing conditioner (about 2 tablespoons)
- 10 drops rosemary
- 5 drops tea tree
- 3 drops geranium
- 25ml water (or to fill bottle)
- Combine all ingredients into a glass spray bottle.
- Attach spray tip, then shake well before use.
- Spray over damp hair after it has been washed.
- Do not rinse out.
This leave in conditioner detangler spray makes it easier to remove knots in the hair. In addition, adding the essential oils helps protect the hair and supports its growth. Therefore making it shinier and stronger. For extremely matted hair use this hair washing technique first followed by the detangler spray.
Best Essential Oils For Detangling Matted Hair
In my Homemade hair detangler recipe I use specific essential oils to support the hair. You can use one or all of the different oils suggested to give you the results that you are looking for or to suit the specific hair you're using it on. Here's a list of what each oil can help you achieve:

Rosemary Essential Oil – is cleansing, helping to create a healthy looking scalp and full head of hair.
Tea Tree Essential Oil – cleansing, rejuvenating and purifying.
Geranium Essential Oil – gives both dry and oily hair a vibrant healthy glow. Also known for its ability to naturally repel insects.
Natural Leave In Conditioner Spray
Use the spray everyday to help remove basic knots, keep the hair looking shinny, strong and healthy.
