Thermomix Kafe Greek Coffee
There is something special about making Kafe Greek Coffee with your Thermomix. Firstly, it gives you the best kaimaki, the thick frothy topping you get with a perfect Greek Coffee. Secondly, you can make many coffees at once without having to stand over it and watching it boil.
The secret to getting a full kaimaki is to control the temperature and not let the coffee over boil. Boiling point is 100 degrees. If the coffee is cooked at a temperature that is above 100 degrees there will not be a thick kaimaki. Cooking it at exactly 98 degrees for a long period of time will create a beautiful thick kaimaki for your Greek coffee.
Making one Greek coffee in the Thermomix is possible and saves having another appliance but making up to 12 small cups at once when you have many people to serve is the key to using your Thermomix to make a Greek Coffee.
