Thermomix Eliopites Olive Bread Sticks
These Eliopites are made with Thermomix made soft and fluffy pastry that wrap around an olive mixture. They are ones that you can make a big batch of and keep in the freezer for when needed.
When we were younger, my mum would do big cook ups and we would all come over to help her. usually this would include my mum, my sister Evette, my grandmother and me. Sometimes the aunties and cousins would come over too.
It definitely saves a lot of time when you have a few people to help, especially for this recipe. Everyone has a job to do and it’s a bit of a production line. One person will roll out the dough, another person fills the pita with olive mixture and someone else puts the sesame seeds on. It’s also helpful to have someone who just watches the oven and handles the trays. This makes cooking much more fun and a lot less like “work”. Cooking together with the women in my family has created everlasting memories for us all. It is a tradition that we will treasure and continue with our own children and hopefully their children too.
