Bumya Okra Thermomix Recipe
This Bumya Okra Recipe is just one of the amazing recipes you can find in The Dinner Collection (Ebook). I love how versatile this recipe is. You can choose to make it with chicken, change the meat or just use the okra.
Bumya are what we call Okra in Greek. There are so many names and ways to spell it such as bamya, okro, okra ect. Okra are like green beans that contain small white seeds. You can usually buy them at specialty fruit chops, markets or in the frozen section in delis. They can have a slight slimy texture but d if you spray them with vinegar before cooking it eliminates this. I've never bothered doing that as I just love this dish exactly how it's cooked.
As a child I must admit my siblings would turn their nose to this dish. Mum new that I'd be the first on the table enjoying a large bowl. It wasn't every week we could get our hands on the okra but when we did, this was the delicacy dish to make.
